Lamar Giles: Hi, my name is Lamar Giles. I used to tell people Giles is pronounced exactly like the name of the librarian from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, JILES. But as the years go by that registers less and less with people. So now I just say it starts like jelly but rhymes with styles, JILES. I don't know if that's really helpful, but I don't know a better way right now.
