An old man lives alone on a hill with a collection of unwanted animals, isolated from the nearby village by mutual fear and distrust. One night it begins to rain and as the floodwaters rise the old man and his animals appear doomed ... until a young boy appears with a boat. Suggested level: junior, primary.
