“It’s time for bed. Who needs to be tucked in?” The answer is a rousing “I do!” from one creature after another in this pleasing picture book that gives young readers and listeners the opportunity to tuck in Baby Pig, Zebra, Elephant, Alligator, Moose, Hedgehog, and Peacock in turn. The brilliance is in the clever design of a book in which every other page is a “blanket”—half the size of the full pages, and just big enough to “cover” the expectant baby animal waiting to be tucked. Each blanket is a different, brightly colored design that matches or complements the baby’s pillow.
