Book Description

for Louie the Pirate Chef by Simon Mitchell and Ben Wood

This is a funny, light-hearted story of Louie who would rather be a chef than a pirate, much to the dismay of his seafaring parents. When Captain Blackheart and his crew are busy raiding another pirate ship, Louie can only think about herb-crumbed fish fillets, and lemon jelly cheesecake. When Bloodthirsty Pete and No-Legged Bruce are plundering a far eastern seaport Louie is dreaming of Peking duck, soft rice noodles and deep-fried ice cream. No one is very impressed with Louie, until they find themselves deserted on an island with plenty of treasure and no food.
