Al Gore's mission to help the environment started during his early days in Congress and continued during his terms as a U.S. senator, a vice president, and a presidential candidate. Since then, he has focused all of his energies on environmental activism. In 2007, Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize for his relentless efforts to protect the environment, stop global warming, and spread the message about how we all can make a difference.
