While walking in her local jungle, Sarah happens into a “great big angry lion!” (n.p.). He tells her that no one walks in the jungle—or sings—then lists the ways animals move and communicate. It seems that the only thing Sarah is good for is LUNCH. She objects, so Lion allows her to draw a pic ture of him, but he challenges the image he sees. When the other animals agree that he really is a “great big angry lion!,” he decides to change. Al though the book is marginally didactic, young readers will enjoy the rhyth mic, onomatopoetic language. lmp
