Sara Pennypacker: Hi. My name is Sara Pennypacker. People are always asking me if I made up my name, and the answer is no. My maiden name is Sara Young, but my real married name was Pennypacker. It's Dutch, and it means the penny baker. I think it's a terrifically lucky name for my writing career because people always laugh when they hear it, and I try to write funny books, so it's a real advantage to have people already laughing when they're only on the front cover of my books.
