Derrick Barnes: Hi, my name is Derrick Barnes. My name, Derrick Dwayne Barnes. My mother named me after a character in a romance novel that she once read. She thought Derrick just sounded debonair and suave. It's a lot to live up to, and little did she know I would grow up to become a children's book author, so that's pretty cool.
