Spelile Rivas: Hola! My name is Spelile Rivas. Rivas is my married name, and its name reflects my husband's Mexican heritage. I was born Spelile NYABEZI TURANGA. My name is African. My father was from Zimbabwe and spoke Shona and Zulu. Spelile means beloved. I don't know what the rest of my name means, but I like that it's unique. Though I hear Spelile is quite common in Zimbabwe, I love that here in America it screams individuality. And I love that nobody is like me, Spelile NYABEZI TURANGA Rivas. It's long, but that's my name.
