Frank W. Dormer: Hello. My name is Frank Dormer. Dormer is a name that my parents would often confuse me with, because my mother used to say to people, "The last name is Dormer, like the window." I used to think to myself, well, then why isn't my last name Window? Because that would make a lot more sense. But understandably, I didn't know that a dormer is actually a window that sits on top of a roof of a house, and so if you go by your neighborhood and you see a window that seems to be on your roof like a little separate house, then that means it's a dormer window, and you'll think of me.
