Kat Falls: Hello, my name is Kat Falls. I get asked a lot if that's a pen name, and it's not. Kat is short for Kathleen and Falls is my married name. My maiden name was Kathleen Moynihan, which is about as Irish as it comes, although I'm only half Irish by descent. Falls is actually an Irish name also, but most people don't make that association when they hear it. I think they think of waterfalls or falls as the verb, as in Kat falls.

I like it because it's short and easy for me to remember, and I'm hoping it's easy for kids to remember as well.
