Lerryn Korda: Hello, my name is Lerryn Korda. Lerryn is the name of a village in Cornwall. Before I was born, my parents went there on holiday and my mother said if she ever had a daughter she would call her Lerryn, and she did. It's a name that I've had to explain many, many times over my life. I had never been to Lerryn until recently, and I discovered that it is a wonderful idyllic cornish village with a river running through it called Lerryn, the river Lerryn as well.

Korda is a Czech name. My fathers side of the family are eastern european from Hungary. They originally had a different name, but changed it as they were Jewish to the Czech Korda which comes from the Latin sursum Korda which means lift up your heart.
