Bobbi Katz: Hello, my name is Bobbi Katz. Bobbi is spelled B-O-B-B-I, no Y and no E. Katz, spelled K-A-T-Z, sounds just like cats, spelled C-A-T-S. Long ago when my husband's shingle hung outside our house, someone must have thought it witty to leave unwanted kittens on our doorstep. I made lots of trips to the SPCA with kittens after adopting a few myself. Kids and grown ups tell me that Bobbi Katz is a good name for someone who write books for young people. When I find books, I draw a very simple picture of a cat followed by an S after the Bobbi. It does work for me.
