Estela Bernal: Hello, my name is Estela Bernal. When I was born my mother wanted to name me Rebecca or Elizabeth, but a friend of hers who had two boys and no girls asked her to name me Estela. I didn't like my first name when I was little, until I learned that it comes from Estrella, or star. That realization made the name more interesting and appealing to me. Simple as it is, it's often misspelled and mispronounced. I answer to anything from Stella, to Estelle, to Estrella, to Bernal, and variations thereof.
