Dan Gemeinhart: Hello, my name is Dan Gemeinhart. I have heard my name pronounced about 100 different ways, because Gemeinhart is kind of a mess. It's German, in origin, of course, and I've heard it pronounces Gymenhart, and Gymineheart, and Gemminhart, and all sorts of ways and I never take it personally because I know it's a tricky name. So, I really don't care how folks say it. I'm just kind of honored they're saying it. But, a handy way to remember how to say it, is it's gum like juicy fruit that you chew on, then it's mine like mine not yours, and then it's heart like a Valentine. The emphasis is on the mine, like a four your old saying mine. So its Gemeinhart.

I don't really care what people call me, people can call me Dan, they can call me Dan Gemeinhart. When I was a teacher all my students just called me Mr. G, and that was great. So, you can call me Dan, you can call me Dan Gemeinhart how ever you want to say it, or you can even just call me Mr. G.
