Arya Shahi: Hey everyone, my name is Arya Shahi. So that's how you say it. Arya like the Italian "aria." And Shahi, like Shahi, I guess. I haven't even thought of one for my last name. But Arya Shahi. And I'm Iranian. My parents are both born and raised in Iran and then came to the States. So when I was writing An Impossible Thing to Say, I wanted to find a character name that was a thinly veiled avatar for Arya Shahi. So I chose Omid Soltani because Soltani and Shahi both mean kingly in Farsi. So I don't know what that says about me, but that's just my little story about my name, Arya Shahi.
