Huy Voun Lee: Hello. My name is Huy Voun Lee. The spelling of my name is translated from French. That is because I was born in Cambodia and Cambodia was once a French colony. In Chinese, it sounds like this, "Lee Way Vin". Huy means wisdom and Voun means literature. I love my foreign name, but I do also embrace the translated spelling of it. People didn't know how to pronounce it. I've been called Hue Von, Hey, way, Whey, and the worst one of all is when an extra E is added to HUY and they call me baby Huey because of my voice. But now, I embrace the uniqueness of it. If you Google h u y v o u n, there exists only one Huy Voun, and that makes me feel special.
