Julie Stiegemeyer: Hello. My name is Julie Stiegemeyer. My maiden name before I got married was Banks, and then when I got married, I gained a lot of letters in my last name. There are four Es, most of which are not pronounced, but makes it a little tricky to spell. You spell my last name S-T-I-E-G-E-M-E-Y-E-R. We pronounce it Stigmeyer, which is an Americanized version of this German name. Probably, the German would be Shtigemeyer. My first name is Julie, and when I was a little girl, I thought I wanted to change my name when I got to be an adult. I wanted to be called Maggie for some reason, but my name now is Julie Stiegemeyer, and I'm happy with it.
