When I decided to become an artist over 30 years ago, or less than that, I used to be a professor and teach and I was an administrator for many years and I wanted people to understand that my love now, even though it's late in life, that I'm an artist, so I changed my name from Dr. Joseph Samuels to JoeSam. And the reason I put the period, so people understand that, don't quote me anything other than JoeSam., I used to tell people that, and that's just a dot and that's why my name is JoeSam.
