David J. Smith: Hello. My name is David J. Smith. The name is very easy to remember, and probably one of the most common names in North America. David and Smith, both very common names. My middle initial is J. My middle name is Julian, which was my father's first name. My last name, Smith, is in fact not my family's real original name. My father's father, my grandfather, was a smith. He was a tin smith, and when he came to this country, the people he knew said, "Your real name, Koozneets, will be too hard for most people, so we think you should call yourself by your trade, by your craft." So he became Smith, and therefore, so did I.
