The sound of my first name also compliments my last name, Carvell, which is my husband's surname, Carvell, with the accent on the first syllable. Not Carvell, as most people think.

My husband is a member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and Tarvell is a very common Indian name in northern New York. His grandfather changed his name from Travell to Carvell in the early part of the twentieth century in order to avoid discrimination.
