Divya Srinivasan: Hello, my name is Divya Srinivasan, which is an Indian name. My parents were born in India and came to the United States. And when I was born, they wanted to give me a name that was simple for non-Indians to pronounce but that also had meaning. Divya means divine in Sanskrit, and really my parents did a good job because people usually get it right the first time they try to say it. Srinivasan is a very common South Indian name and it's actually the name my father's parents gave him, so my father's first name became my last name. And I know it might look intimidating to pronounce, but it's easy if you take it slow and break it down, Srini Vasan, Srinivasan.
