Grace Tiffany: Hello. My name is Grace Tiffany. I was born in New York in 1958 where Tiffany has been a last name for a long time. It is an English name but it derives originally from a Greek word Theophane and it was somewhat anglicized somewhere along the way to the word epiphany, as in feast of the epiphany, and then eventually it turned into the last name Tiffany.

In the 1980s in the United States it started becoming popular as a first name for girls. So my last name Tiffany became the first name of a lot of girls and then there was some confusion when I would meet people. They would think I had two first names, Grace Tiffany. Or perhaps that I was confused and I thought what was actually my first name was my last name, that was name was Tiffany Grace.

But in fact, I am not confused. My first name is Grace and my last name is Tiffany, just like the jewelry store.
