Dan Elish: Hello. My name is Dan Elish. Yes, the last name is pronounced ell-ISH When I was a kid, people used to say that it rhymed with relish, which used to really embarrass me and make me very upset, but I'm over that now and now that I'm an adult, people don't say that. But that is a good way to remember it.
Another way people used to pronounce it which would bother me is Elleesh as though I was French, like, "Hello, Monsieur Elleesh," but it is not that.
