Anna Kang: Hello. My name is Anna Kang. My name is easy to pronounce and rhymes with a lot of fun words. My last name, Kang, is actually Korean, and in Korean, it's pronounce gong. But when my father arrived in the United States from Korea in 1968, I guess they decided to pronounce it the way it looks in English, which is Kang. So if you meet someone who's last name is Kang or Kang, they are most likely of Korean heritage like I am. My mother named me Anna after the Virgin Mary's mother, Saint Anne. She figured that with a name like that, it might make me a very good mother one day, which I hope is true. So my name Anna Kang is part Christian-Catholic and part Korean.
