Teresa Bateman: Hello. My name is Teresa Bateman. My middle name is Rosa, after my grandma Christensen, and when I'm in the United States, nobody has any trouble pronouncing Teresa Rosa Bateman. When I lived in Honduras, however, I had a problem with the last name. People would pronounce it Bateymon. They had no trouble at all with the Teresa Rosa. Of course, it was Teresa Rosa, but it often got me through customs quite easily. They'd look at my passport and they'd say, "Teresa Rosa Bateymon? No, no, no." They'd just let me pass. I could get through customs in any Spanish speaking country with my first and middle name.
