Jeanette Winter: Hello. My name is Jeanette Winter. I wrote a book called Nasreen's Secret School and I had a lot of fun looking for the name of the main character in the book. I looked in dictionaries, I looked on the internet, I looked everywhere I could to find names, from especially Afghanistan, but also other countries in the Middle East. I settled on Nasreen because I liked the way it looked when it was written and I really liked the way it sounded when it's said out loud. I thought it fit the character of the little girl I was writing about and it's always fun to choose a name for a character in a book.
