Ed Young: Hello. My name is Ed Young. It is a name that's for a Canadian hero named Eddie. He volunteered in the Manchuria conflict of the World War II. Since I was born in the year of this Chinese-Japanese conflict, I was named after him.

When I came to the United States to study, it was shortened to Ed, so since then, I have been called Ed Young. My Chinese name is pronounced Yuong Tse-chun. Yuong is my family name that was transliterated into Y-O-U-N-G. Tse-chun is two syllables. The fist one, Tse, means "aspiration." Chun means "accomplishment." Together, it means "aspiration accomplishing," "accomplishing aspiration."
