Carmen T. Bernier-Grand: Hello. My name is Carmen T. Bernier-Grand. The T is for tall. Bernier is my maiden name, being named my father, Curry. And it's really a French name. Bernier were three french men who moved to Puerto Rico. They were brothers. I don't know how to say the name, because it's choppy, for me, being French, we don't pronounce the last R. But because I grew up Puerto Rico speaking Spanish, I say Bernier. Grand is my husband's last name. Grand means grande, which means big. So now I have a very big last name. Bernier-Grand. And the T for tall.
