Lynn Curlee: Hi, my name is Lynn Curlee. My last name is spelled C-U-R-L-E-E. I am Southern by birth. I grew up in a place called High Point, North Carolina, and the Curlee clan was around and about in that part of the world. And there were some other Curlees who, I believe, went to Texas during the Civil War era.

We always thought the name was probably Scots-Irish because from the part of the South I grew up in, that's kind of what things were, but my brother
did some genealogical research and found out that the name Curlee was actually a corruption of a French name, C-U-R-L-E from southern England. So it probably... An ancestor came over with William the Conquerer, so I think that's kind of cool.
