Corinne Demas: Hello, my name is Corinne Demas. Some people assume Demas is a French name and pronounce it de-MAH, but in fact, it's a Greek name. Demas means "of the people," the same root as democracy, and my first name is Greek, too.
Corinne or Corinna means "maiden," and Corinna was a famous ancient Greek lyric poet.
