Rachel Griffin: Hi, my name is Rachel Griffin, and to tell you a little story about my name. Growing up, I felt that my name was way too popular. I had met so many Rachels growing up that I decided on my 18th birthday I was going to legally change my name to something else. As you can imagine, I have had many different names over the course of growing up that I thought I would change my name to. But the one that stands out to me most is that as a young child, when I was really caught up in reading The Babysitters Club, I decided that my name should be Mary Anne. And so I asked my parents to start calling me Mary Anne. When they'd come to my soccer games, they hold up signs that said, Go Mary Anne. And I went by that more as a joke than anything else. But when I turned 18, I still thought I was going to change my name and my mom said it would hurt her feelings, so I didn't end up doing it. But as a child, I did always plan to change my name.
