Allison Rodgers: So, my name is Allison K. Rodgers, and I was born on my grandmother's birthday. My grandmother is still alive. She is 99 years old, and her name is Faye. And my parents wanted to name me Allison Faye and my maiden name. And my grandmother, because of family traditions said, "No, that's bad luck for me. I don't want you to name her after me." And so they changed it to Kay, Allison Kay instead of Allison Faye. And I think she kind of regretted it later because I was born on her birthday and I think she always had wished I was sort of named after her. And I always sort of feel that connection. I will also say I use my middle initial, because Allison Rodgers is a little bit more of a generic maybe sounding name. And so I use the K to sort of distinguish it. And everybody always asked, "What does the K stand for?" And the K is just K-A-Y, Kay.
