Fred Estes: Hi, my name is Fred Estes, and I have a last name that can be very difficult to pronounce for people. Our family always pronounces it Estes, Estes, E-S-T-E-S. Estes. As a matter of fact, I typically often spell it so that people hear it.

My first name, Fred, I was named after my great-great-grandfather, Fred. And all throughout school people kept saying, "We need your whole name," and I'd say, "My whole name is Fred." And they'd say, "No, your whole name is Frederick." And I'd say, "No, my whole name is Fred." And they'd say, "Well, what does it say on your birth certificate?" I says, "It says Fred."
