Kate Klise: Hello. My name is Kate Klise. My real name is Catherine, spelled with a C, which is a little odd, but my mother and especially my father were big fans of St. Catherine of Siena, who spelled her name with a C, so that's what's on my birth certificate. Maybe I should mention that my last name is pronounced with a long I and a silent E. It's funny, because if I don't tell people this in advance, I'm often introduced as "Kate Cleese," which I think sounds better actually than Klise. I would love people to think I was related to John Cleese, but sad to say it's not Cleese, it's Klise, rhymes with "mice" or "nice," or "ice," or "lice," if that's easier to remember.
