Yona Zeldis McDonough: Hello. My name is Yona Zeldis McDonough. That's quite a mouthful, isn't it? Yona is Hebrew. I was born in Hadera, Israel, in 1957, and my parents gave me a Hebrew name. But I grew up in the United States, so it was a little challenging to have that name. And Zeldis is Polish. That's where my father's family was from. And then McDonough is Irish. That's my husband's family. So I have kind of a smorgasbord of names.
