Elivia Savadier: Hello, my name is Elivia Savadier. My mother was actually quite ready to call me Olivia and an aunt called Ellen died a few weeks before my birth, so she just decided to take the O and put the E on my name. So, I became Elivia. It's a name that I love a lot, but I've spent most of my life explaining to people how to spell it and how I got it. My last name, Savadier, I grew up in South Africa and my name was always just pronounced Savadeer. I later learned that my grandfather had escaped from Russia. His name was Zavatsky, and he went through Spain and changed his name. It was only when I got to America and I started speaking to French and Spanish people, I realized Savadeer was really not a way to say the name, and a lot of people were calling me Savadier, so I just went with that. I like it, and Savadeer sounds sort of like save a deer. It sounds a bit plodding to me now. So, I'm Elivia Savadier. Thanks. Bye.
