Vicky Enright: Hello, my name is Vicky Enright. I married a nice blue-eyed fair-skinned American boy of Irish heritage, and my last name changed from Craft to Enright. Occasionally, I have to spell it out for people. It's spelled E-N-R-I-G-H-T, and often people want to stick a W in there, but there is no W in my last name. It was originally Innreachtaigh which is more Irish sounding. The reason that people with the name of Innreachtaigh changed it to Enright was to sound more English. The Irish were treated like slaves by the British in the mid-1800's. If their name sounded more English, perhaps they would be treated more like English citizens than slaves. Anyway, I like the sound of Enright.
