Lenore Look: Hi, my name is Lenore Look. My last name means land in Chinese. When I was born, my parents named me first in Chinese, and then found the English name that found it closest. My Chinese name, Lenore means graceful girl, which is fantastic. But I didn't always like my English name, Lenore. But my name was something I grew into. I found that it belonged to a princess in James Thurber's book Many Moons. Edgar Allan Poe's Raven calls it a rare and radiant maiden.

Beethoven's only opera, Fidelio, was originally named Leonore. And Eleanora of Toledo was a brave and influential woman during the time of the Medici in Firenze. And now, the name belongs to me.
