If curation controls are enabled, an asterisk (*) is visible next to the Welcome message on the top left of any TeachingBooks webpage. Clicking on the asterisk link reveals detailed information in the footer about the activated controls.

Also, adults logging into their personalized TeachingBooks account are shown a message that informs them that curation controls are activated.
