Lauren Myracle: Hey. My name is Lauren Myracle or Lauren Miracle, which is really how I say it these days, but not to my husband. I grew up as Lauren Myracle, and that's my dad's name. I did not take my husband's name, which is Martin, when I got married but the reason my husband doesn't like the fact that I've changed my name is because our kids have both of our names. So, our kids are Myracle Martin, only now people have started calling them Miracle Martin and anyway, to me, it makes me laugh because identity is fluid and fiction is all about creating identity. And so I figured, why can't Lauren Miracle be my pseudonym and Lauren Myracle can be my name to people who knew me as me before I became an author that went around and met people who knew me only as Lauren Miracle.
