Bart Moeyaert: Hello. My name is Bart Moeyaert. My first name, Bart, comes from Bartje zoekt het geluk, Little Bart Seeks Happiness, which is the title of a Dutch novel by Anne de Vries. It seems my family name, Moeyaert, finds its origin in the French Moeyar, which is an old and not very positive word for a dandy-esque person, but other sources state my name comes from the old Dutch. There, it means, more even art, like inner beauty. Whatever the origin is, French or Dutch, the meaning of my surname, Moeyaert has something to do with, well, how somebody can be. My name looks complicated, and it's almost unpronounceable in some countries, but I don't see a reason to complain. A first name coming from a novel and a family name meaning the both sides of beauty.
