Jennifer Walsh: Hello, my name is Jennifer Walsh. Walsh is a very common Irish surname, so common that it's quite difficult to trace by fore bearers. I believe my great-great-grandparents Thomas Walsh and Margaret McCormack arrived in Australia from Tipperary as convicts in about 1840. If so, I'm quite proud of that fact. In Australia, we used to be ashamed to be descended from convicts, but now we find it something quite exciting.
